Antique-Inspired Finds | Rugs, Sconces, Hardware & More from Our Home

There’s something so grounding about antique-inspired décor—the way each piece carries a sense of history, even when it’s new. Lately I’ve been drawn to those timeless details that make a house feel more like a home, those little touches that bring softness and story into everyday spaces. Whether it’s a well-loved texture, a weathered finish, or the simple charm of a classic silhouette, antique-inspired finds remind me to slow down and create a home that feels layered and meaningful.

One of my favorite updates recently has been in the girls’ room—a vintage-style rug that instantly transformed the space. It adds warmth underfoot and that lived-in character that only a well-patterned, antique-inspired rug can bring. I’ve also been swapping out lighting, like our new chandelier, and fell in love with a pair of sconces that feel both elegant and practical, casting the softest glow in the evenings. It’s amazing how something as small as light or flooring under your toes can shift the entire mood of a room.

The details are where the magic happens. A set of brass-inspired hardware adds a quiet nod to history while keeping cabinets and drawers functional and charming. Draping a cozy throw blanket across the sofa brings in comfort and a sense of welcome, while a simple wreath on the wall or door adds a seasonless, timeless touch that feels just right. It’s these layers—small and thoughtful—that make a space feel not only styled but deeply lived in, reminding me why I love the antique-inspired approach to decorating.
