Antique Inspired Porch Finds & Favorites
There’s a certain kind of peace that only comes from a slow morning on the porch—the kind where the world is still quiet, the coffee is hot, and the air feels just a little softer. I’ve been slowly gathering antique-inspired treasures to breathe new life into our front porch, and it's become such a special sanctuary for me. It all started with a pair of timeless wicker chairs, the kind that gently creak when you settle in and whisper of summers long past. Some other favorite ways to bring warmth to an outdoor space is with textiles like a textured green layering rug topped with a welcome mat, grounding the whole space in earthy calm. Or even a simple neutral outdoor rug under some furniture can create a cozy atmosphere.
The little touches are what make this space feel like home. I’ve scattered planters around the porch, some holding fresh herbs and others overflowing with the softest faux roses—so real-looking you have to touch them to believe it. And we love the porch swing (which has quickly become everyone’s favorite seat). a striped pillow for a pop of classic charm and a floral pillow to soften the edges with a bit of grace. At the center of it all, an old-world coffee table holds a mix of textures: a woven vase filled with dried grasses, and a white ceramic vase showcasing clippings from our backyard blooms. These simple pieces create a rhythm of beauty and rest, just by being there.
And when evening settles in, this porch turns into the dreamiest little retreat. A few flameless candles flicker safely in the breeze, casting a warm, golden glow that dances across the floorboards. I love curling up here as the sun goes down, with a green outdoor pillow tucked behind my back and the sounds of the neighborhood winding down around me. Every piece on this porch was chosen not just for how it looked, but for how it made us feel—welcomed, grounded, and gently reminded to slow down and savor the moment.
