Fall Fashion Staples I’m Wearing on Repeat
There’s something about fall that makes getting dressed feel fresh again. Maybe it’s the crisp mornings, maybe it’s the return of routine, or maybe it’s just the excuse to lean into layers and cozy textures. Either way, I’ve found myself reaching for the same pieces over and over again this season—my true fall staples. These are the items that make getting dressed easy, comfortable, and still pulled-together.
1. Wide-Leg Trousers & Denim
If I had to name one silhouette I can’t quit right now, it’s a wide-leg pant. Whether it’s a soft khaki workwear style or a classic denim with a little swing at the hem, this cut instantly feels modern without trying too hard. I’ve loved pairing them with structured belts and tucked-in tops to balance out the looseness. They’re versatile enough to wear with clogs, loafers, or sneakers—depending on the day’s plans.
2. Stripes, Stripes, and More Stripes
From rugby tops to cardigans, stripes are carrying my wardrobe this fall. They’re timeless but playful, and I love mixing them into both casual looks (think a ball cap and clogs) and slightly dressier ones (buttoned cardigan with trousers and loafers). Stripes add just enough interest without overwhelming an outfit.
3. A Classic Button-Up
There’s nothing more foolproof than a crisp button-up. I’ve been reaching for both my white and navy striped versions on repeat. Worn tucked into denim with clogs, it’s simple but polished—the kind of outfit that always makes me feel like I’ve got it together (even if the rest of life feels anything but).
4. Unexpected Pops of Color
While I live in neutrals, I’ve been loving rusty reds and muted yellows this season. A slim henley in a warm fall tone instantly livens up khakis or denim, especially when paired with patterned sneakers or a structured bag. It feels seasonal without being fussy.
5. Sneakers & Loafers
Shoes can completely shift the mood of an outfit. My leopard sneakers have been on heavy rotation (they add such a fun punch to basics), while my classic black loafers are my go-to when I want something a little more refined. Both are comfortable enough for all-day wear but still feel intentional.
6. Layering with Jackets & Accessories
Fall is the season of layers, and I’ve been leaning into it. A slightly oversized denim jacket, a baseball cap with “Kindred” stitched across the front, or a structured leather tote—these little additions make outfits feel more personal. They also make it easy to transition between warm afternoons and chilly evenings.
Why These Staples Work
What I love most about these pieces is how interchangeable they are. Each one mixes and matches effortlessly, which means less overthinking and more living. They’re the building blocks of my fall wardrobe, and they’ve made getting dressed feel less like a chore and more like a small joy in the everyday.
So if you see me wearing the same wide-leg jeans three times a week… well, now you know why.
