Our Favorite Vintage Styled Rugs!

How is everyone doing in quarantine? I mean is everyone alive and well? Well while we all try and get through this super weird time I’m going to try and distract you with some of my favorite vintage rugs!

I’m not going to lie to you (and you all might think I’m a little crazy), rug shopping is probably one of my favorite things and least favorite things to do all in one! How is that even possible? I don’t know, but it is! Just trust me on this. Searching for the perfect rug can seem easy at first because you have so many options to choose from nowadays. But once you start searching you might soon realize there are so many different factors that play into your decision like: size, cost, shipping, thickness, material, pattern, colors, quality, texture, cleaning, etc.

But one thing I love about a rug is that it literally ties an entire room together!

I think rugs are in and of themselves a piece of art and that’s why I’m sharing with you some of our favorite vintage styled rugs!

This vintage look has started to make somewhat of a large comeback since the style has turned from farmhouse to more mid-century modern over the last two years. You started seeing a shift from distressed neutral rugs to more distressed neutral rugs with more color, to full on vintage rug patterns and styles that seem to be timeless in their design style. And I love it all! I think there is something soooooo intriguing about these rugs; like they’re an antique in their own way; Bringing an element of sophistication and substance to whatever space they’re in.

This rug above is a mix of vintage and contemporary but I had to add it in here since I bought it for our living room about a month and a half about and am absolutely obsessed with it! I searched and searched for the right rug for this space; I even bought and returned 3 rugs before I found this one!

If you want to go really vintage check out this richly colored and timeless woven rug that I’ve been eyeing for quite sometime.

I hope this helps in your vintage rug search! All these links are amazing deals that literally cut most rug price tags in half or more! Comment below if you have any questions or follow us on the @liketoknow.it app (search kindredhomestead) and shop all our favorite things over there!
