This Week at Our Home

We’ve been leaning gently into a slower, 90s-inspired summer over here—barefoot mornings, familiar rhythms, and a home that feels a little more lived-in in the best way. I found myself revisiting pieces we’ve had for years alongside a few newer favorites—patterned, timeless finds that quietly shape the feel of our spaces, especially the rugs that ground each room and hold so much of our everyday life.

Lately, so much of our time has been centered in the kitchen—slower meals, more intention, and a return to simple rhythms. With Whole30, I’ve been in here more than usual, which has made me appreciate the pieces I reach for daily even more.

With more time spent in the kitchen lately, I’ve been drawn to creating small, functional moments that still feel collected. The things I reach for daily—salt and pepper, oils, a well-loved cookbook—styled simply with a touch of art or texture. It’s a quiet way of romanticizing the everyday, even in the midst of routine.

In My Cart this Week

A favorite (of mine and followers!) over the last week or so has been my new lace top. It’s a bit of a splurge, but I sourced some other similar ones in some different colorways perfect for spring and summer.

This week, I found myself reflecting on the Pink Room—the one I almost talked myself out of. Too pink, too bold, too much… or so I thought. But “too much” turned out to be exactly what my girls needed. It’s become their little world for dress-up, whispered secrets, and imagination that spills onto the floor—and somewhere along the way, it changed me too. Seeing how much joy lives within those four pink walls gave me permission to be a little braver throughout our home… more pattern, more color, more “why not.” Funny how one room can do that.

The spring chaos and fullness of our May calendar has me counting down the days to the slower rhythm of summer. As much as I love the busy days and all the memories they hold, there’s something so special about the simplicity of an Americana summer — long afternoons, open windows, kids running barefoot through the house, and a little more room to breathe. And honestly, nothing captures that feeling better than our lived-in adventure room. The vintage touches, playful layers, and collected charm make this space feel like summer nostalgia wrapped into one cozy little corner. This room absolutely screams summer, and I can already picture all the memories waiting to unfold here.

As always, thank you for being here and for making this such a beautiful, thoughtful community. I’m truly so grateful for each of you.
