This Week at Our Home

There’s something about this time of year that makes me crave a slower rhythm—more quiet mornings, more intentional moments, more space to take things in. I’ve been leaning into that lately, especially through what I’m reading—keeping a small rotation of books nearby that I can pick up in the in-between moments of our days.

And as much as I’ve been nourishing my mind, I’ve felt the pull to be outside just as much. The garden always seems to call me back this time of year—less about perfection, more about creating a space that feels lived in and loved by all of us.

We keep our favorite beds close enough to grab what we need, but with just enough space for little hands to wander, help, and explore alongside me. It’s simple, but it’s ours—and I’ve shared our favorite raised beds and a little glimpse at our setup.

Of course, not every corner gets the same attention this season—and I’ve made peace with that. Some spaces are meant to be effortless, especially the ones we pass through every single day.

For our porch, I’ve been leaning into a few tried-and-true faux pieces that bring that same soft, gathered feeling without the upkeep. The small flowering trees on our front porch have become a favorite—they add just enough life and structure to make the space feel finished, even on the busiest weeks. I’ve rounded up the ones I come back to again and again if you’re looking to do the same. Shop my favorites here!

Some of you may remember our ongoing gym bathroom project—and it’s been such a joy to see it slowly come together. We’ve loved layering in traditional, collected details like millwork and wallpaper to give the space a bit more character and warmth. This week I shared the latest step in the wallpaper journey and the final choices we landed on for the space, and it’s starting to feel more and more like a room with its own little story.

t’s really coming along, especially with the paint color we chose to compliment the design so far! I just can’t get over how perfect this table works in here! Another great secondhand heirloom treasure which inspired me to source more heirloom type pieces. Loving all of these from McGee and Co.

As we head into warmer days, I’ve also been thinking about carrying that same collected, heirloom-inspired feel outdoors—creating spaces that feel just as layered and lived-in. I’ve been sourcing a few beautiful patio finds from Wayfair that bring in that timeless charm while still feeling functional for everyday family life.

As always, thank you for being here and for making this such a beautiful, thoughtful community. I’m truly so grateful for each of you.
