This Week at Our Home
If you’ve been here the last couple months, you’ve probably heard me talk about the gut issues I’ve been dealing with for at least the last year…lower abdominal cramping, sharp pains, bloating, fatigue, overall discomfort…the whole thing. Earlier this year, I finally got to the point where I realized, this cannot be normal, and started digging deeper with testing, Whole30, and working with a holistic chiropractor after what felt like endless bloodwork kept coming back “normal.” One of the biggest pieces was finally doing a stool test to look at my gut microbiome…and we actually got some answers. While I’m still in the middle of the healing process, it’s honestly been such a relief to finally have some direction and understand what my body has been trying to tell me.
One thing I’ve really tried to prioritize through all of this is continuing to move my body in ways that feel supportive instead of stressful. Some days that looks like strength training, other days it’s just a treadmill walk and sunlight on my face—but rebuilding strength and consistency has become such an important part of this season for me. And because I’ve been settling back into a workout rhythm again, I’ve also rounded up some of my current fitness favorites lately—simple workout sets and easy pieces I keep reaching for that make home workouts feel a little more motivating and fun.
If you’re also in your “trying to feel stronger and healthier again” era, I linked a bunch of my recent Amazon favorites here

As we head into summer, it feels like we’re fully stepping into that slower, memory-making season again—wrapping up school routines, spending more evenings outside, and soaking up all the little family moments that make this time of year feel nostalgic in the best way. I rounded up a few easy end-of-year teacher gift ideasbecause truly…I don’t know how teachers do it all, and I love finding thoughtful little ways to celebrate them heading into summer break.
We’ve also been spending so much more time outdoors lately, which has me fully leaning into all the Americana summer vibes lately—BBQs with family, patio nights, kids running barefoot through the yard, and all the cozy collected outdoor touches that make home feel extra special this time of year. I linked some favorite outdoor finds I’ve been loving lately too—grills, patio pieces, outdoor lighting, Americana-inspired decor, and a few things that just make summer hosting and evenings outside feel a little more fun.
As always, thank you for being here and for making this such a beautiful, thoughtful community. I’m truly so grateful for each of you.
