This Week at Our Home

This week felt like the kind of summer week I wait all year for. We've been spending as much time outside as possible—coffee under the umbrella in the morning, gardening with the girls, dinners on the patio, and evenings lit by solar lanterns

I always think it's funny how a few simple things can completely change how a space feels. Some cozy layers, natural textures, and well-loved outdoor pieces have made our backyard feel like its own little cottage retreat. Nothing fancy—just a place where we're making memories and enjoying these fleeting summer days.

I'm feeling really thankful for this season and trying my best not to rush through it. These ordinary summer moments are becoming some of my favorite memories.

Midwest summer is officially showing off, and I’m not mad about it. After months of cold, gray weather, this season always feels like a reward. The gardens are thriving, the windows are open, the fireflies are back, and life just feels a little lighter. If you’ve experienced a Midwest summer, you know exactly what I mean. (I’ve rounded up some of our favorite family fun finds for endless hours outside together!)

Garden party perfection. This pavlova with maple whipped cream and fresh berries was the perfect light summer dessert—and several of you asked for the recipe, so I’ve linked it for you here!

As always, thank you for being here and for making this such a beautiful, thoughtful community. I’m truly so grateful for each of you.
