This Week at Our Home

Midwest summer is in full swing, and these are the kinds of weeks I wish I could slow down just a little more. We've been spending so much time at the lake with my parents, my siblings, and our families, soaking in everything that makes June feel so special. There’s something about gathering with the people you love, enjoying slower days, and embracing the simple rhythms of summer that always fills my cup.

It's a gentle reminder that some of the best memories are made in the most ordinary moments. Unhurried conversations, warm evenings, and time together have always felt like the heart of the season to me. As much as I love refreshing our home for each season, summer has become just as much about creating a feeling—one that's relaxed, nostalgic, and centered around making memories.

With the Fourth of July just around the corner, I've found myself gravitating toward timeless Americana touches that capture that same feeling. I rounded up a few of my favorite finds that bring a touch of red, white, and blue charm to the season while fitting beautifully into a collected, vintage-inspired home.

This week was one I'll carry with me for a long time.

While I was in Michigan, I had the privilege of sitting beside my sister during her tenth chemotherapy infusion. Watching someone you love choose courage over comfort, again and again, changes you. It reminded me that bravery rarely looks loud—it looks like showing up, even when you're scared.

We're also celebrating encouraging news. Her latest scans showed that the largest tumor has shrunk dramatically, and several affected lymph nodes no longer show signs of cancer. We are so incredibly grateful for every answered prayer and every glimpse of hope along the way.

Thank you for continuing to pray for her, encourage our family, and celebrate every victory with us. We don't take a single one of those prayers for granted.

As always, thank you for being here and for making this such a beautiful, thoughtful community. I’m truly so grateful for each of you.
