Hanging Cafe Curtains

When we did our bathroom remodel this year I started looking at cafe curtains as a window treatment option for that space and once I started down that rabbit hole, I became obsessed! I knew where I wanted to hang cafe curtains next…over our dining room window bench!

I partnered with a local woman that does a lot of sewing projects and together we created these simple yet timeless cafe curtain that are just perfect for this space! They filter the light perfectly so I don’t feel like they are blocking the natural light that comes in but subduing it in the most whimsical way!

Wallpaper details can be found HERE!

For the hanging them, I actually used a method I saw my friend Cathy from The Grit and Polish do but instead of using rods from Rejuvenation we found some brass rods that were quite a bit more affordable HERE and cut them down to size. We used these inside mount brackets to attach the rods. And to hang the curtains we used these 1” brass colored curtain clip rings. Finding the right fabric was the hardest part of this search TBH. But if you’re like Cathy, you could always sew your own. Otherwise there are some great options available online that are pre-made!

When hanging, I pinched the top of the curtain and placed my curtain clip to create a little pinch pleat. It adds the perfect about of movement to the curtain panel without jeopardizing the overall width. It was the perfect addition to this space and I could not be more in love!

See what window treatments we just installed in my sons bedroom makeover!
