This Week at Our Home

The minute the trees start turning I’m pulling out the crockpot. This white chicken chili is one of those recipes we come back to every fall—easy, creamy, filling, and basically comfort in a bowl.

I’ve also been leaning into those cozy, nostalgic layers around the house lately. Think You’ve Got Mail energy, warm textures, collected pieces, and a few Walmart finds that make everything feel a little more inviting.

And because cute match holders are a dime a dozen these days, I decided to make my own from an antique glass jar I found while shopping. Add a little match striker and suddenly an old thrifted find has a whole new purpose.

Motherhood brought its own kind of unexpected moment this week, too. A rough morning, frustrated kids, a dead squirrel, and somehow…we all ended up laughing together. Sometimes God meets us right in the middle of our mess, reminding us there’s still joy available—even when the morning didn’t go how we planned.

A little fall cooking, cozying up the house, making something from an old find, and finding grace in the everyday. That’s where I’m finding the season right now.

I’m also rounding up a few favorites for the season, including Amazon bedroom finds for boys + girls and Fireside Finds for cozy early-fall outdoor living.
