Grandmillennial Accent Chairs
In 2021 we saw this re-emergence of traditional, classic design that some people (those outside the design world) would describe as very “vintage” like; while IN the design world would be categorized as “Grandmillennial.” When trying to explain this specific style I want you to think: embroidered linens, painted china, originally stained hutches & entry tables, gilded mirrors, portrait oil paintings, vintage rugs etc. I recently listened to this podcast describe the “Grandmillennial” style as being the marrying of your “Grandma’s” style with the “millennial” modern day flair.
This trend is popping up everywhere and to be honest, I might be its biggest fan. I love all the depth and “heartiness” this style brings into our homes. It truly is, like I mentioned earlier, the perfect marrying of the old with the new. And I hope it’s here to stay! So to honor “Grandmillenial,” I’ve put together a selection of accent chairs (that won’t break the bank) that perfectly depict this vintage, yet modern style.

Rather than spend money on something new, I wanted to breathe new life into what we already had. Reupholstering gave me the freedom to choose exactly the fabric I wanted, while keeping a piece that already fits the scale and style of our space.
