When we refinished the hardwood floors in our 1920s Craftsman home, our goal was to keep the wood looking natural and timeless while minimizing the yellow undertones that often appear in white oak. After some experimenting, we found a method that combined water-based matte polyurethane with a white tint, layered gradually to soften the warmth while still letting the natural grain of the wood shine through. Here’s the exact process we used.

For the longest time I was wanting to do floor to ceiling board and batten walls and so when it came time to start thinking about nursery details I called in a favor from my hubby to make this vision come to life. If you've been following me around here for a while you know that we are in the midst of a FULL BLOWN kitchen renovation. That means that we literally tore down every (and I mean EVERY) inch of the existing kitchen...and then some, to make this kitchen our dream kitchen. Sure that may sound pretty amazing, but actually enduring it is a completely different string of emotions. 

We are officially DONE with the flip house! I think I can hear screams across America at this very moment! After 9 strenuous, exhausting, overwhelming, and exciting weeks we have successfully renovated our very first investment property.
