Moody, Cabin Inspired Bedroom Makeover

My oldest son turns 9 in December, and he has been begging me to do a bedroom makeover ever since I redid the girl’s room (into this vintage inspired space) last year. I have put it off long enough, I think! LOL! So I’ve been dreaming up a space that is essentially decorated to feel like a cabin. That may sound weird but what I envision when he enters in, is that he will feel like he’s stepping into cozy, layered retreat! Kinda like a big warm hug.

I didn’t plan on doing any major wall treatments since our kid’s bedroom situations are constantly changing (the two boys are already talking about doing sharing a room! Of course!) So I wanted to keep the walls white and let the other details in the room speak for themself. I specifically wanted the fabric (bedding and window treatment to make a statement). So here are two design plans I have worked up. Most likely I’ll go with a mesh of these two but we’ll see! :) You can find a lot of the sources linked at the bottom of this post.
